Majestic Wonders by Prednya Majestic Wonders by Prednya
*metronome198d asked for more storms, so I made a new one from scratch and tried to keep that in mind. I also promised her a cheese moon, yet I got hungry and ate most of it before the space-mice got to it and finished it off.

I know I am terrible at drawing star fields, so this time I chose to place a nebula to draw attention away from the poor boring stars. I tried several tutorials for drawing nebulae, yet none of them gave me the realistic look and perspective i was looking for. I ended up creating my own way of drawing nebulae which let me use the colours I wanted.

Also tried my own way of creating rings where i could have more variation in colour and darker patches that don’t get lost.

Basically tried a whole lot of new things.

Enjoy

Used [link] by ~tathy-stock for the far right moon and [link] by ~Savage-Stock for the smallest moon but unfortunately the moons became so small that most of their detail were lost

I think the shadows on the Moons are a bit too harsh, space has no ambient light, so it only makes sense to make the shadows really dark if the planets were on their own, But I think the Moons would have some orange back-light coming from the gas-giant ( Jupiter? )

Not sure if you used textures for the gas giant, if thats from scratch using nothing but the motion blur and liquify tool, let me say its one of the best gas giants I've seen. :wow:

That jupiter like planet is wicked and the nebula and stars are very well done. Although I like the color of the blue planet its texture is a little odd.

Very nice piece. The depth would have been brought out a bit more I think f the smaller planet cast a shadow on the gas giant.
